It is still unseasonably hot for this time of year in this part of the country. So for the perfect end-of-summer trip, my husband and I went up into the mountains for an anniversary celebration with friends.
The wild flowers seem brighter at 8600 feet.
The wide open spaces are quiet and relaxing.
At 10,000 feet the air is thinner, the skies more blue, the trees more green. Just beautiful!

And of course, the end of the summer means the start of football and everyone that knows me knows that I am a Denver Bronco fan.

A wonderful end to the summer season and a great start to the football season!
Beautiful photos. So you live in Colorado?

I grew up in upstate NY, lived in Chicago and Los Angeles but then settled in Colorado for the last 38 years. I love it!
By the way, (I pushed the button too soon) thanks for liking the photos and for viewing my blog. 🙂
I’m glad you are blogging. There aren’t many of us older women in the blogosphere!
It’s nice to tune in to someone that has similar interests, without being constrained by geography.
I agree. 🙂
