A Nightmare, A Cry, A Scare

It’s Halloween but the nightmare started a few days ago for the people in the East.  The hurricane with the sweet name “Sandy” exceeded all the dire predictions to deliver a massively destructive blow up and down the East Coast.  Our thoughts, prayers and support go out to all those affected by the storm.

Mercifully the campaign season is also coming to an end.  As I have said before, we are a swing state, and we have  “had it”  with the nonstop political advertising.  It is not just the adults who are sick of it, but this little girl from our area had a little meltdown when she heard one too many political commercials.

I think we all know how she feels.

Finally it, of course, is Halloween!  Fright night! Ghosts and goblins!

                                                   HAPPY  HALLOWEEN!

The caption under that bottom pumpkin should be that I’m sick of all the Super PAC money fueling these ridiculous campaign ads…Really Supreme Court…Really?

This Jersey girl is still without power, but feeling really, really lucky that a lack of electricity is our only problem. If one of the trees that fell had been two feet closer, it would have been in our second floor bedroom, making life far more challenging. We voted on Saturday, not wanting to take any chances that our polling place will be operational.
Jersey, by the way, is one of the states that passed a resolution to overturn Citizens United. Maybe that is ONE thing that this divided electorate can agree on!
