A few things that went on this week caught my attention:
−A solemn day yesterday as Americans paused to remember the victims and all those affected by the the tragic 9/11 attacks eleven years ago. In response to the anniversary both campaigns suspended the ever present political ads.
Oh, if only they would. So far, super pacs have spent 228 million. According to the NY Times, spending is expected to swell to a staggering 1.1 billion by the time the campaign season is done, an obscene amount of money!
−Anyone who knows me knows that I love football. In our house we watch college and pro football. So, Sunday night my husband and I were lucky enough to be at the Denver Bronco game with the return of Peyton Manning. There of course is no guarantee of the outcome when you go to a game. Truth be told I used to hate it when the Broncos had to play against the Colts. But this game was just plain fun. A Bronco fan couldn’t ask for anything more.
−Finally, this is the music video sweeping the internet. It is silly and fun and will put a smile on your face.
(If video does not play smoothly, click You Tube in bottom right corner and it will take you directly to video on you tube and it should help)
Due to some extra care that my 94 year old Mother needs, I will not be posting for two weeks. See you in October.
